Military Exercise 8 - 12 May 2017

The general public is to be advised that a NZ Army Exercise will be conducted in Trig Road-end and Eyre River Track area in Oxford Forest over the period 8 – 12 May 2017.

The exercise will involve personnel of 3rd Signal Squadron from, Burnham Military Camp. The exercise will involve up to 15 personnel.

Training will involve soldiers setting up a headquarters location, conducting navigation and bush craft and carrying weapons in and around the Trig Road-end area by day and night from 1pm on 8 May until 1pm on 12 May 2017.

There will be no use of blank rounds, pyrotechnics or open fires in order to mitigate the risk of fire.  The exercise will involve the movement of troops on Eyre River Track and vehicles along Trig Road.
