NZ Army personnel come from all over New Zealand and are from all ethnic groups and all walks of life. We are highly practical, versatile and resourceful people.
The Regular Force, make up the majority of our numbers and make the NZ Army their career. The Territorial Force continues the tradition of part-time soldiering and have the best of both worlds.
Our civilian staff support NZ Army activities at all levels, often bringing specialist expertise and performing a wide range of functions to enhance overall defence capabilities.
